Chinese President Xi Jinping has welcomed and held a meeting with his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic at Great Hall of the People in Beijing this afternoon.
The Croatian President is on her state visit to China from Tuesday to Sunday following the invitation of President Xi. She will meet with the highest ranking officials of the Chinese government during her visit, including Chinese prime minister Li Keqiang, and the chairman of the National People's Congress Zhang Dejiang.
She will also take part in the Global Forum on Poverty Reduction and Development in Beijing. The presidential visit to China marks the 10th anniversary of the Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Partnership in General Cooperation Between the Republic of Croatia and the the People's Republic of China.
