Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with visiting Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Beijing.
Xi thanked Berdimuhamedov for visiting during China's 70th anniversary of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Second World War. Xi said both countries are intimate friends and trustworthy partners. He hoped the two sides would keep in close contact, and push forward the implementation of "Belt and Road Initiative" together. Xi also said both sides should deepen cooperation in combating the "three forces" -- terrorism, separatism and extremism -- and the transnational organized crimes.
Berdimuhamedov in turn praised their bilateral relations, and said both sides have a lot in common regarding regional and international issues, and should maintain close communications and cooperation.
