The Bolshoi are in Beijing, so too the Mariinsky Ballet. It's part of a phenomenal China International Ballet Season lined up through the end of the year at the Tianqiao Theater. Top troupes from China and abroad are bringing their graceful magic to the stage.

Russian ballet is here in strength -- the Bolshoi Theater, Mariinsky Ballet, and Moscow Classical Ballet. 90 dancers in all, including 10 principal dancers.
Among the classical works they're bringing to Beijing: "Spartacus" and "Madame Bovary".
"Fantastic. They moved so gracefully. Their dresses, and even their headwear, are very beautiful. Their dancing was great," said an audience member.
Dance companies from other countries are also taking part, including the U.S. and France.
"The event can introduce China's art to other countries and bring the art of ballet to China. It can provide Beijing audiences with an opportunity to enjoy artworks of different styles," said Wang Quanxing, deputy head of National Ballet of China.
Among the works brought by Chinese dance companies are "Yellow River" and "Four Seasons". This Ballet season runs until the end of the year.
